Namibia Air has officially received its Air Operating Licences, valid for five years from 6 August 2026, paving the way for the national carrier to acquire aircraft and begin operations.

The licences were handed over by the Transport Commission to minister of works and transport Veikko Nekundi and the Namibia Air committee.

The airline’s first commercial flight is expected to take off during the first week of December.
