Trustco expects outstanding audits to be completed in Q4

Staff Writer

Trustco Group Holdings says it expects to complete its outstanding audits during the fourth quarter of this year, subject to the completion of subsidiary and investee audits and the appointment of auditors in line with guidance from the JSE.

The company provided the update in a trading announcement following its previous communication on 30 April 2026 regarding the suspension of trading in its shares on the JSE, progress on its audit processes and the publication of the Trustco Group audited annual financial statements for the financial years ended 31 August 2024 and 31 August 2025.

According to the company, the main factor affecting the commencement of the Trustco Group audits is the need to first finalise certain regulated Namibian and South African subsidiary and investee audits.

Trustco said these subsidiary and regulated audits are well advanced, with the board expecting them to be completed during the third quarter of this year.

Based on the current audit plan, the company expects the remaining audits to be completed in the fourth quarter, provided the required subsidiary and investee audits are concluded and auditors for Trustco and the Trustco Group are appointed in accordance with guidance issued by the JSE.

The board said it is encouraged by the progress made and remains committed to restoring the company’s financial reporting timetable.

Trustco added that it is working to complete the outstanding Namibian and South African audits and to provide shareholders and the market with updated financial information as soon as reasonably possible.

The company said a further announcement will be made when appropriate.
