Namibian-listed equities recorded modest gains in the latest trading session, with the Overall Index increasing by 12.14 points, or 0.53%, to close at 2,305.40 points compared to the previous day’s 2,293.26 points on Tuesday, 14 June during trading on the Namibia Securities Exchange
The Overall Index has gained 7.66% since December 2025, when it stood at 2,141.33 points. The index reached a 2026 high of 2,428.98 points and a low of 2,070.30 points during the year. The index recorded an actual dividend yield of 3.56.
The Local Index remained largely unchanged, edging up by 0.15 points, or 0.02%, to 846.64 points from 846.49 points previously.
The Local Index has increased by 4.81% since December 2025 and reached its 2026 high of 846.64 points. Its dividend yield stood at 9.56.
The strongest sector performance came from Basic Materials, which advanced by 12.61 points, or 1.59%, to 805.18 points. The sector has gained 12.54% since December 2025, although its actual dividend yield remained low at 0.58.
The Real Estate sector also recorded gains, rising by 17.43 points, or 0.65%, to 2,691.33 points. The sector has declined marginally by 0.35% since December 2025, with an actual dividend yield of 5.92.
Financials were among the weaker performers, declining by 0.88 points, or 0.12%, to 750.11 points. Despite the daily decline, the sector has gained 5.11% since December 2025 and recorded a dividend yield of 5.57.
Consumer Discretionary shares fell by 10.81 points, or 0.41%, to 2,651.03 points, while Consumer Staples declined by 4.08 points, or 0.29%, to 1,391.73 points.
The Telecommunications sector was unchanged at 306.11 points, with a dividend yield of 9.96, while the Utilities sector also remained flat at 1,084.09 points.
Meanwhile, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) All Share Index (ALSH J203) gained 569.49 points, or 0.52%, to close at 110,572.86 points from 110,003.37 points previously.
The JSE All Share Index has declined by 4.54% since December 2025, when it stood at 115,832 points. During 2026, the index reached a high of 128,455.68 points and a low of 108,349.44 points.
