Nictus Holdings Limited has appointed Henrico du Plessis as its chief executive officer with effect from 1 July 2026 as part of the company’s long-term succession planning process.

The Namibia Stock Exchange-listed company said the appointment follows a structured leadership development and executive succession programme undertaken by the board of directors and its Remuneration and Nomination Committee.

According to Nictus, the appointment is aimed at ensuring orderly leadership succession and long-term management continuity across the group.

Du Plessis has extensive experience within the Nictus Group and currently serves as managing director of NHL Tyre and Tire (Pty) Ltd and Khomas Car Rental and Leasing (Pty) Ltd.

He is also a member of the Group Management Committee, where he has been involved in the operational and strategic management of the business.

He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and has completed the Executive Development Programme at Stellenbosch Business School.

The board said it believes Du Plessis’ experience, leadership capabilities and knowledge of the business position him to support the continued implementation of the group’s strategy and long-term objectives.

Nictus advised shareholders that the appointment does not result in any changes to the composition of the board of directors.

The group managing director will remain in office and continue in that role, while no changes to the responsibilities of any director are being announced at this stage.

The company said the announcement was made voluntarily through the Namibia Securities Exchange News Service (NENS) in the interests of transparency, orderly disclosure and good corporate governance.

The board congratulated Du Plessis on his appointment and expressed confidence in his continued contribution to the growth and development of the group.
