President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called on Namibians to preserve their cultural heritage as a foundation for national unity and future development.

Speaking at the Masubia Cultural Festival in Bukalo on Saturday, the President said Namibia’s cultural diversity should be a source of strength and not division.

She urged young people to learn from their elders, embrace indigenous knowledge and values, and help preserve the country’s traditions for future generations.

Nandi-Ndaitwah also encouraged traditional authorities to work with educational and research institutions to document and protect Namibia’s cultural heritage, while reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting the creative industry and youth development.

She stressed that the nation must remain united under the spirit of “One Namibia, One Nation,” rejecting violence and division based on cultural, ethnic or political differences.
