The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB), in partnership with the Namibian High Commission to Botswana and the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), is showcasing Destination Namibia and promoting investment opportunities during a series of strategic engagements in Gaborone.

The programme brings together government officials, investors, diplomats and tourism stakeholders to strengthen bilateral relations, boost cross border travel and trade as well as explore new business opportunities.

It includes destination marketing presentations and business to business engagements aimed at developing joint tourism packages, expanding regional travel and building long-term commercial partnerships.

NTB chief executive officer Sebulon Chicalu said Botswana remains a key regional partner for Namibia.

“Through engagements such as these, we continue to strengthen tourism and business relationships that create mutual opportunities for growth, encourage cross-border travel, and position Southern Africa as a competitive multi-destination region,” Chicalu said.

The engagements are expected to deepen tourism and investment cooperation between the two neighbouring countries while reinforcing Namibia’s position as one of Africa’s leading tourism and investment destinations.
