Three suspects aged between 15 and 19 have been arrested after they were allegedly found in possession of suspected stolen livestock at Farm Holadia near Gibeon.
According to the police, the arrests were made at around 18h00 on Friday, 10 July, after the suspects were allegedly found with 20 sheep and three goats bearing tampered ear marks.
The suspects allegedly failed to provide a satisfactory or lawful explanation for their possession of the livestock.
Police investigations indicate that the animals were stolen from Farm Deutche Erde, and the recovered livestock was positively identified by its lawful owner.
The three suspects remain in police custody and are expected to appear in the Mariental Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 13 July.
