A female toddler died after allegedly drowning in a bucket of water at Amukulungundju village in the Onanke area on Saturday, 11 July.

According to the police, the incident occurred at around 13h00 when the child allegedly crawled to a water tap where a bucket filled with water had been left.

It is alleged that the toddler fell into the bucket and drowned.

The deceased’s next of kin has been informed.

Police have registered an inquest and investigations are continuing.
