Aruvita Kayoka has been named as the new chief of the Gciriku Traditional Authority.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by urban and rural development minister James Sankwasa.
The Gciriku Traditional Authority has been without a chief for nearly seven years following a dispute between two factions after the death of chief Kassian Shiyambi in 2019.
