The figures reflect the yields attached to the bonds’ daily mark-to-market valuations rather than confirmed returns from transactions conducted on Wednesday.
The report recorded no deals or trading consideration across the listed securities for the day.
Inflation-linked government bonds offered lower yields, with the GI27 recording 2.85%, GI29 2.98%, GI31 3.69%, GI33 4.05%, GI36 4.87% and GI41 5.55%.
Corporate and other listed debt securities also featured in the report. Bank Windhoek’s BWPD31 recorded a yield of 12.45%, while First National Bank Namibia’s FNBJ28S stood at 10%.
The figures come after the Bank of Namibia raised its repo rate by 25 basis points to 7% on 28 October, taking the prime lending rate to 10.5%.
The central bank said the increase was necessary to safeguard the currency peg and maintain the stability of the domestic economy.
The NSX report provides daily pricing and yield information for listed fixed-income securities, offering investors an indication of prevailing valuations across different maturities.
