FNB Namibia has been recognised as the winner of the Best Banking Experience category at the 2026 Best of Nam Awards, marking the third consecutive year that the bank has received the accolade based on public recognition.

The award acknowledges FNB Namibia’s focus on customer service, digital innovation, financial inclusion and the development of banking solutions aimed at meeting the needs of individuals, families and businesses across Namibia.

FNB Namibia client experience head, Quinten Potgieter said the recognition reflects the confidence customers continue to place in the bank.

“Being recognised as Namibia’s Best Banking Experience for the third consecutive year is incredibly humbling because it comes directly from the people we serve,” Potgieter said.

He said customer expectations continue to evolve, adding that the award reflects appreciation not only for the bank’s products and services but also for the manner in which it engages with customers.

The bank said the award represents more than an industry achievement, highlighting its ongoing investment in technology, customer experience and solutions designed to make banking more accessible and relevant.

FNB Namibia has continued to expand its digital banking offering while supporting entrepreneurs and initiatives aimed at improving financial access throughout the country.

In addition to receiving the banking award, FNB Namibia sponsored the education category at the Best of Nam Awards for the second consecutive year.

The sponsorship aligns with the bank’s broader social investment initiatives, including programmes supported through the FirstRand Namibia Foundation, which focus on improving access to education and strengthening learning opportunities for young Namibians.

During the education category awards handover, FNB Namibia consumer banking head, Hans Karon said education plays an important role in Namibia’s economic and social development.

“At FNB Namibia, we believe education is one of the most powerful investments any nation can make. An educated nation is better equipped to make informed financial decisions, seize opportunities and contribute meaningfully to economic growth,” Karon said.

He added that financial wellbeing and education are closely linked, as access to knowledge and appropriate financial tools enables people to pursue opportunities and build sustainable livelihoods.

FNB Namibia said it will continue investing in customer-focused banking solutions, innovation and community initiatives aimed at supporting Namibia’s long-term development.
