Armed men allegedly robbed an Oshakati ATM user of N$56,141 before hijacking a car and fleeing in a second vehicle on Friday.
According to the weekend crime report, the suspects allegedly fired shots, slashed the victim’s tyre and tore his backpack before fleeing in a white Volkswagen Polo.
The Polo later collided with a Toyota Corolla and struck a stationary Volkswagen Golf 6.
The suspects allegedly fired through the Golf’s windows, forced the female driver out and hijacked the vehicle towards Okatana.
The hijacked Golf was later found abandoned near a bar in Oshakati West, with the suspects allegedly transferring into a waiting white Toyota Camry.
A firearm and knife allegedly used in the robbery were recovered, but the stolen cash has not been recovered.
No arrests have been made and police investigations continue.
