The Bank of Namibia has granted Access Bank Namibia Limited authorisation to conduct banking business in the country, effective 2 October 2026.
The authorisation was granted in terms of Section 13(2) of the Banking Institutions Act, 2023 (Act No. 13 of 2023), following a comprehensive assessment conducted in accordance with the Act.
The central bank said Access Bank Namibia is now authorised to engage in banking business, including accepting deposits from the public and providing banking services.
The announcement was made by Bank of Namibia director of strategic communications and international relations, Kazembire Zemburuka on Friday.
