Police in the Oshikoto Region have arrested a 27-year-old man following a violent housebreaking at Oniimwandi Village in the Onayena area on Friday, at around 04h00.
According to the Police, the suspect allegedly forced open the door to a sleeping room with an unknown object, entered, and assaulted the occupants who were asleep at the time.
Three victims, aged between 1 and 62 years, sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious. They were initially taken to Onayena Health Centre before being transferred to Onandjokwe State Hospital for further treatment.
The suspect was arrested and is expected to appear in the Ondangwa Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 10 August 2026.
Police investigations into the matter are continuing.
