A 40-year-old woman, identified as Fernades Loide Khandhila, died after a Toyota Vitz crashed into a shack in Okuryangava, Ongava street in the early hours of Friday.

According to the weekend crime report, the vehicle allegedly began swaying after crossing a speed hump, causing the driver to lose control.

The car veered off the road and slammed into the shack where Khandhila and her two-year-old daughter were sleeping.

Khandhila succumbed to her injuries, while the child escaped unharmed. Police investigations are ongoing.
