Veteran South African actor Seputla Sebogodi has died

South African theatre and television icon Seputla Sebogodi passed away on Wednesday evening following complications related to diabetes, his family confirmed.

Best known to millions for his portrayal of Kenneth Mashaba in the long-running soapie Generations, Sebogodi enjoyed a career spanning more than three decades across stage and screen.

His television credits included Suburban Bliss, Bophelo ke Semphego, Redemption, and most recently Scandal!,while his theatre repertoire featured acclaimed productions such as Waiting for Godot, The Rivonia Trial, Big Dada, Once a Pirate, and Mooi Street Moves.

The Sebogodi family has requested privacy during this period of mourning, adding that the actor’s legacy “will live on through his remarkable body of work and the many lives he touched.”
