UNAM “Bokkies” Dominate, Beauties FC Come from Behind, and Injury-Prone Girls and Goals Settle for a Draw as FNB WSL resumes

The FNB Women Super League kicked off its second round this past weekend, and it was a spectacle filled with excitement, goals, and standout performances. The players returned from a break, ready to showcase their skills and determination to make an impact in the league.

UNAM “Bokkies” made a powerful statement as they went on a goal-scoring spree, thrashing Okahandja FC 7-2. Thuba-led the charge, emphasizing her intent for the season. Hanavi Muhinatjo stole the show with a remarkable hat-trick, while Taotago Afrikaner, Fredericks Annacheria, Hillary Gonteb, and Tjijangapara Zauana each contributed a goal. The Bokkies’ dominance continued from the previous day when they secured maximum points on the road, defeating Namib Daughters 3-0. Hillary Gonteb scored twice, and Virere Jariujani added the third to seal the victory.

Beauties FC displayed resilience as they came from behind to humble Ramblers 4-1. Memory Nandova, Utuzuvira Kahiriri, and Stella Williams showcased their scoring prowess. Despite Albertina De Kock pulling one back for Ramblers in the 70th minute, it wasn’t enough to alter the outcome.

In a tightly contested match at the coast, Injury-Prone Girls and Goals battled Namib Daughters to a nil-nil draw. Both teams displayed defensive prowess, denying each other any opportunity to break the deadlock.
