The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has registered a total number of 187 171 Namibians who are eligible to vote both inside the country and abroad.
The number represents an average of 31 195 voters per day over a period of six days.
This was announced on Thursday by the ECN’s chief electoral and referenda officer, Peter Shaama.
The General Registration of Voters commenced on 3 June and will continue until 1 August.
Shaama made it clear that there will not be a supplementary registration period this year.
He urged eligible voters to ensure they register before the deadline.
