Hertta-Maria Amutenja The Police in the Oshikoto Region have arrested a 24-year-old woman from the Okalevona location after she allegedly suffocated her newborn baby last Thursday. Oshikoto Regional Police Commander, Commissioner, Teopoline Kalompo-Nashikaku said the woman, a housekeeper, gave birth to a baby boy while alone in her employer’s house. Afterwards, the suspect used a plastic bag to suffocate the little baby. “The suspect was admitted to Onandjokwe state hospital for treatment, and could only be arrested yesterday following her discharge.
