Stefanus Nashama The Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) has announced that field staff will no longer visit households to collect data for the Namibia Household Income and Expenditure Survey (NHIES). The statistician general of the NSA, Alex Shimuafeni, announced this Monday. “The NSA hereby informs the nation that until the main NHIES survey commences in March 2025, there will no longer be field staff visiting households for NHIES data collection,” he said. NSA pilot survey to shed light on financial dynamics of Namibians

Niël Terblanché The Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) launched the pilot phase of the Namibia Household Income and Expenditure Survey (NHIES) last week. The NSA’s Statistician-General, Alex Shimuafeni in a statement said the survey is the beginning of an extensive data-gathering exercise that aims to shed light on the financial dynamics of Namibian households.
