Hertta-Maria Amutenja Moonde Shaalukeni of the SWAPO Party has retained his position as the Chairperson of the Khomas Regional Council. Shaalukeni will serve another term after he was officially sworn in yesterday. He was elected as the Chairperson in November 2020 and served for a period of two years and six months.He was nominated by Councilor Emma Muteka and the nomination was seconded by Samuel Angolo. In his speech, Shaalukeni highlighted the council’s achievements and said the council managed to approve and implement 11 social economic infrastructural development projects to the tune of N$33 885 620 during his term.
