APP urges media to prioritise equal coverage

Stefanus Nashama Ambrosius Kumbwa, the president of the All People's Party (APP) urged the media to be fair and balanced when reporting events related to political parties. He made the call while he was referring to the party's fourth National Congress, which took place in Rundu last month without the presence of any journalists. “Despite our invitations, no media representatives attended our National Congress,” he said. SHUUMBWA SUSPENDED                          

The central coordinating committee of the All People's Party (APP), has suspended Erastus Shuumbwa, its interim president, with immediate effect. The suspension allows the committee time to investigate allegations of contravening the party’s constitution levelled against Shuumbwa. He is also accused of contravening the party’s code of conduct and set of ethics. Daniel Balthezar Djami, the APP’s secretary for information confirmed the suspension on Tuesday. Shixwameni gets State funeral

President Hage Geingob has conferred a state funeral on Ignatius Shixwameni, late President of the All People’s Party (APP). The 55-year-old Shixwameni collapsed at parliament while attending a standing committee meeting last Wednesday.
