Swapo has launched information dissemination tools, which will be used to disseminate its election campaign messages.
The party’s vice president, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, said the platform will be used to inform voters about party policies, values, and agenda.
“Above all, this website is an online platform for political mobilisation. Through this website, we can reach voters from the comfort of their homes. The Swapo party website vehicle will also carry various social media platforms, such as Facebook, X and TikTok, YouTube, Radio programs, Namibia Today newspaper, news updates, a calendar of events and many more,” said Nandi-Ndaitwah.
The website will also serve as a platform for debates with members, supporters, and sympathisers, as well as anyone who wants to know what Swapo stands for. Because the website is an arena for the contestation of ideas that the party has to win.
The party also relaunched its newspaper, Namibia Today. The publication was discontinued in 2018.
The party announced that it will have daily programmes on the party-owned station, Radio Energy.
“Radio outreach is more efficient than any other medium in our country. The SWAPO Party has therefore decided to pay attention to radio during this campaign and beyond. We must communicate our party and Government achievements on this platform,” she stated.
