R&J Steytler Consultants (Pty) Ltd and The Strategic Economy Ltd have announced a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening investment flows, economic development and cross-border collaboration across Namibia, the SADC region and the wider African continent.
The two organisations said the collaboration will combine R&J Steytler Consultants’ regional presence and networks across Africa with The Strategic Economy’s international reach in the United Kingdom and Europe, creating a platform to connect African investment opportunities with global investors, institutions and policymakers.
While both firms will continue to operate independently, they said they will work together on initiatives where their combined expertise can deliver greater impact, particularly in areas such as infrastructure, energy, industrialisation, trade, investment and development finance.
The partnership also targets public sector reform, entrepreneurship, regional integration and private sector development, with a focus on job creation, poverty reduction and inclusive economic growth.
John Steytler, founder and managing director of R&J Steytler Consultants, said the partnership comes at a critical time for the continent’s development agenda.
“This partnership comes at an important moment for Namibia and Africa. The continent possesses extraordinary potential, yet significant development challenges remain,” he said.
“By joining forces with The Strategic Economy, we are creating a platform that combines local insight, international networks and practical expertise to unlock investment and deliver meaningful development outcomes.”
He added that the collaboration would strengthen opportunities for enterprise development and sustainable economic growth by linking African experience with global market access.
Oliver Scheidt, founder and chief executive officer of The Strategic Economy, said the partnership builds on complementary strengths between the two organisations.
“We are delighted to partner with Dr John Steytler and R&J Steytler Consultants,” Scheidt said.
“John’s distinguished experience in economic development, investment and public policy, together with his extensive regional network, makes him an exceptional partner.”
He said the partnership would help connect African opportunities with international investors and deliver practical solutions that support job creation and economic transformation.
The two firms said the initiative aligns with Namibia’s national development priorities, the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and broader continental goals focused on sustainable investment, industrial development and regional trade integration.
They added that the collaboration aims to help structure “bankable projects” and convert investment ideas into tangible developments that deliver long-term socio-economic impact.
