Siyauya’s remains will then be transported to Katima Mulilo on 9 March, with a second memorial service on 10 March. The funeral will take place at Bukalo Village on 11 March.
According to the NFA, Siyauya began feeling unwell on Sunday during a meeting with the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) officials and the NFA Executive Council.
He was granted leave to go home and sought treatment at a hospital, where he passed away on Monday morning.
NFA president Robert Shimooshili highlighted Siyauya’s contributions to Namibian football.
He noted that Siyauya began his tenure as General Secretary on 1 April 2024 and was tasked with supporting the Executive Council in driving the growth and development of Namibian football.
“Siyauya played a pivotal role in implementing the strategic initiatives of the Executive Council. His commitment and passion to advancing Namibian football will be sorely missed,” Shimooshili said.
Siyauya is survived by his mother, Chaze Musialike, one son, three daughters, brothers, sisters, colleagues at the Football House, and football lovers across Namibia, COSAFA, CAF, and FIFA.
