Learners, teachers, and families across Namibia waiting for the results of the Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary (NSSCO) and Advanced Subsidiary (NSSCAS) Levels will be able to access it next Tuesday (14 January).

The executive director of the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture, Sanet Steenkamp, last week said the announcement is the conclusion of the examination cycle.

Steenkamp also expressed satisfaction over the good progress made with marking and data processing.

According to Steenkamp, the results will be accessible through multiple platforms, including the ministry’s website, SMS services, and print media.

She urged candidates to have their unique candidate numbers on hand to streamline the process.

“All candidates who wrote the 2024 NSSCO and NSSCAS examinations are reminded to have their candidate numbers readily available to access their results,” she said.

She added that to facilitate access, the ministry has implemented an SMS service where candidates can retrieve their results by sending their full candidate numbers to 99099.

These numbers are printed on the admission permits issued before the examinations. Steenkamp also detailed the timeline for accessing results.

“The website and SMS service will be activated on Tuesday at 12:15 on the release date, following the official announcement by minister Ester Anna Nghipondoka at 10:00 in Windhoek,” she said.

For those candidates preferring physical copies, statements of results will be available for collection from schools or examination centres.

Steenkamp said that candidates may also visit regional examination offices, where broadsheets with results will be accessible during office hours.

Steenkamp encouraged candidates to verify the delivery of their statements by contacting regional offices directly.

She said that the timely provision of examination results stresses the education ministry’s commitment to transparency and accessibility, ensuring that both full-time and part-time candidates can retrieve their results efficiently.

“It also serves as a reminder of the importance of education in shaping Namibia’s future,” she said.

According to Steenkamp, the release of results is anticipated to pave the way for learners to take their next steps in higher education or the workforce.

The education ministry has also provided contact numbers for all regional offices to support candidates in obtaining their results.

“These numbers ensure that queries are addressed promptly and that no candidate is left without access to their academic achievements,” she said.
