The Ministry of Industrialization and Trade has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering the development and expansion of local businesses and entrepreneurship in Namibia.
This pledge was emphasized by Minister Lucia Iipumbu during the recent inauguration of the new premises of Regto Ndemufayo David Holdings (RND) in Windhoek.
Iipumbu pointed to RND’s noteworthy journey of growth and lauded the company’s substantial contributions to job creation and skills development in the country.
“RND Holdings exemplifies the dynamic spirit of Namibian entrepreneurship, having emerged as a leading entity through its commitment to innovation and excellence,” Iipumbu said.
She commended the company on its achievements and its role in strengthening the nation’s economy.
Echoing the Minister’s sentiments, the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) lauded RND Holdings for its perseverance and innovative approaches to overcoming challenges.
According to the NIPDB, the company’s success story is adorned with both national and international accolades, reflecting its significant impact on promoting entrepreneurship and inspiring others to follow suit.
At the heart of RND Holdings’ success is its founder, Regto David, who envisions the company as a source of inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs.
David’s dedication to nurturing a culture of entrepreneurship was further demonstrated during the inauguration event, where he sponsored T-shirts for the Blue Boys Football Club, underscoring the importance of investment in Namibia and the vital support businesses need to thrive.
Since its establishment in 2015, RND Holdings has been committed to creating employment opportunities for the Namibian youth and offering internships to foster practical skills development.
The company’s journey from a fledgling startup to a stronghold of entrepreneurial success encapsulates the essence of Namibian innovation and determination.
The inauguration of RND Holdings’ new premises not only celebrated the company’s past achievements but also set the stage for its future endeavours.
Iipumbu said that with the continued support of the Ministry of Industrialization and Trade and other stakeholders, RND Holdings is set for even greater success, contributing to the prosperity and development of Namibia and its people.
