Two women from Omeege village were denied bail in the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court yesterday after they appeared on rape charges.
The suspects, Anatolia Petrus (29) and Rauha Pinhas (33) allegedly raped a 22-year-old man, who is mentally challenged, on different occasions.
The rape incidences occurred between May and June this year.
Oshana Nampol Spokesperson Inspector Thomas Aiyambo said the crimes were committed mostly during night at different places at Omeege village. The suspects would usually find the victim at local cucashops before luring him to their houses.
The victim’s aunt reported the matter to the police. The suspects were denied bail due to the seriousness of the offenses.
