PROCEEDING WELL:

The Electoral Commission of Namibia, says that the minor glitches experienced during the first days of the General Registration of Voters pose no security concerns.
Chief electoral and referenda officer, Peter Shaama, explained that the processes are entirely managed in terms of the ECN Internal IT Policies and processes and do not warrant any security concerns.
Shaama responded after some members of the public aired concerns about the voter cards that contained wrong personal details were issued to them.
He said the ECN is using their Integrated Mobile Voter Registration System (IMVRS), introduced in 2014, and assured the public that the system is still effective.
