Ongwe Minerals Incorporated has announced that it will hold its annual general and special meeting on 20 August 2026 at its registered office in Vancouver, Canada, where shareholders will consider the company’s annual business and special resolutions.
Ongwe Minerals is a Canadian-listed gold exploration company focused on discovering and advancing gold deposits in Namibia.
The company’s management team previously played a key role in developing several of Namibia’s major gold projects, including Osino Resources’ Twin Hills and Eureka deposits, as well as the Otjikoto gold deposit, which was later acquired by B2Gold.
The company’s exploration activities are currently centred on the Omatjete and Khorixas gold projects in Namibia’s emerging Northwest Damara gold belt.
At the Omatjete Gold Project, exploration has identified two key prospects. The Manga Gold Prospect hosts a gold-in-soil anomaly extending approximately 4.5 kilometres by one kilometre, with early drilling intersecting gold-bearing bedrock.
The Nguni Gold Prospect contains a five-kilometre-long gold-in-soil anomaly, with values reaching up to 1.3 grams per tonne (g/t) and remaining open in several directions.
Ongwe has secured approximately 50 kilometres of strike length along the prospective Okondeka Fault Zone and continues regional sampling to identify additional gold targets.
At the Khorixas Gold Project, located about 60 kilometres west of Osino Resources’ Eureka gold project, the company has identified two large surface discoveries known as Belmont and K17.
Belmont covers an area of approximately 12 by 6 kilometres and has yielded 18 exploration target areas through calcrete and grab sampling.
Meanwhile, K17 hosts copper-gold mineralisation over roughly 12 square kilometres, with Ongwe planning a geophysical survey during the second half of 2026 to define subsurface mineralisation and generate drilling targets.
The company continues to advance exploration across both projects as it seeks to expand its gold discovery pipeline in Namibia.
