In the inaugural matches of the Dream Social Football League (DSFL) held at the Ella Du Plessis Sports Ground, Omaandje emerged victorious, setting the tone for what promises to be an electrifying season. The DSFL, a platform aimed at fostering community spirit, camaraderie, and overall well-being through the medium of football, witnessed a thrilling display of talent and sportsmanship.
“The Dream Social Football League was established to fulfill a vision of promoting not just football, but also community engagement, healthy living, and social cohesion,” remarked DSFL President Shalom. “Through our passion for football, we aspire to create an inclusive environment where everyone can participate, compete, and flourish.”
The DSFL 2024 Season boasts a lineup of 148 games, including 132 league matches and 16 cup matches, promising an action-packed extravaganza for football enthusiasts. With 12 registered teams and over 300 players and coaches involved, the season is set to show the finest skills and fervor for the beautiful game.
League matches started on April 27, 2024, until September 28, 2024, kicking off at 8:30 am, followed by League Cup Matches from October 05, 2024, to October 26, 2024, and culminating in the Cup Finals & DSFL End Year Function on November 02, 2024.
In the second match of the day, Arcadia Sports and Polaris engaged in a fierce competition, resulting in a 1-1 draw, highlighting the competitive spirit and talent within the league.
As the league marches forward, the action continues on May 11, 2024, starting at 8:30 am at the Ella Du Plessis Sports Field, featuring matchups between Real City FC and Galatians Pirates, Polaris FC and Hanover FC, Ondorozu United and Amajita FC, Zimstars FC and Dunamis Football Club, NORS Invincibles and Los Blancos FC, and Omaandje Sports Club against Arcadia Sports.
