The fourth Namibia Oil and Gas Strategic Conference (NOGC 2026) is set to bring together policymakers, investors, industry leaders and other stakeholders to discuss strategies aimed at maximising the benefits of Namibia’s emerging oil and gas sector.
The conference will cover a broad range of topics, including investment opportunities, regulatory and legal requirements, value chain development, financing mechanisms and employment creation within the industry.
Organisers say the event will feature a comprehensive programme of national and international speakers who will provide insights into the opportunities and challenges facing Namibia’s growing energy sector.
Discussions are expected to focus on how the country can leverage oil and gas developments to drive economic growth and create long-term national value.
A key objective of the conference is to ensure that discussions translate into practical outcomes.
Resolutions adopted during the event will be incorporated into a strategic roadmap intended to guide both the public and private sectors on policies and actions required to maximise the benefits of oil and gas investment.
The Namibia Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition has established itself as a leading platform for dialogue, collaboration and skills development within the country’s energy sector.
Organisers say the event seeks to ensure that civil society remains actively involved in the opportunities and transformation associated with the industry’s development.
The conference was created in response to calls for greater transparency, accountability and broader participation in the sector.
It continues to promote local content development, inclusive participation and sustainable opportunities for Namibians throughout the oil and gas value chain.
Building on the outcomes of the 2025 conference, organisers describe the 2026 edition as a significant step towards implementation, with a stronger emphasis on translating discussions into action.
The event is expected to further position Namibia as an emerging global energy destination by aligning policy objectives, investment priorities and local capacity development.
NOGC 2026 will provide a platform for decision-makers, industry leaders and investors to shape the future direction of Namibia’s energy sector as the country seeks to unlock the economic potential of recent oil and gas discoveries.
The previous conference, NOGC 2025, attracted more than 1,000 delegates representing government, policymakers, small and medium enterprises, civil society organisations, state-owned entities, private sector companies, international oil and gas firms and other stakeholders across the industry value chain.
The event served as a venue for networking and business development opportunities in Windhoek.
