The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) has retained its position as Namibia’s leading university in the 2026 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, while improving its global ranking from the 1501+ band to the 1001–1500 band.

According to NUST, the university recorded significant gains in several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including Quality Education and No Poverty, while also improving its performance in Partnerships for the Goals and entering the rankings for Gender Equality.

NUST said the results reflect the impact of its teaching, applied research, innovation, and partnerships in addressing national and global development challenges.
