The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) is gearing up to participate in the 2024 World Travel Market (WTM) Africa, a platform for destinations to promote tourism offerings and to learn the global tourism trends, and experiences to a global audience of travel professionals and enthusiasts.
The event is scheduled to take place from 10 to 12 April 2024, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in South Africa.
According to NTB’s spokesperson Flora Quest, this year’s event promises to be a milestone for Namibia’s quest to solidify its position as a premier family holiday destination on the African continent.
“Namibia’s participation at WTM Africa 2024 serves as an opportunity to showcase the country’s tourism potential, forge partnerships, and drive growth in the travel industry while also promoting sustainable and responsible tourism practices,” she said.
The NTB will be co-exhibiting with 15 exhibitors including Namibia Wildlife Resorts, Ondili Lodge Namibia, Exclusive Reservations and Marketing, SES Travel Agency, N/a’an ku se Ecotourism Collection, and Fly Namibia amongst others.
Quest indicated that the objectives of Namibia’s participation at the event will also focus on brand positioning in the African travel market as the country aims to drive tourism growth by attracting visitors and increasing their spending.
“This will further involve showcasing stunning imagery and providing information on travel experiences, whilst promoting sustainable tourism practices and responsible travel initiatives. NTB will showcase Namibia under the theme “Travel’ and will present a chance to highlight its diverse landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and unique wildlife experiences” she said.
