Nors Namibia has been named Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Importer of the Year at the UD Trucks Southern Africa (UDTSA) Annual Importer and Dealer Conference (ADC) 2026, after receiving five awards from seven nominations.
The conference, held in South Africa under the theme ‘Own the Future’ brought together dealer principals, business leaders and stakeholders from across Southern Africa and other African markets to review performance, discuss growth strategies and recognise achievements within the UD Trucks dealer network.
According to UD Trucks Southern Africa, the 2026 conference was the first to dedicate its opening day exclusively to SSA markets, reflecting the company’s strategy to expand its presence across the continent as part of its long-term growth plans.
Nors Namibia’s awards recognised performance across several areas of its operations, including technical services, customer support, parts sales, training and service delivery.
Accepting the award, Nors Namibia Dealer Principal Gerhard Rossouw said the recognition reflected the collective efforts of the company’s employees.
“This recognition belongs to every member of the Nors Namibia team. The awards may carry individual names, but they represent the commitment, dedication and teamwork of an entire organisation,” Rossouw said.
UD Trucks Southern Africa Managing Director Filip Van den Heede said Nors Namibia’s performance demonstrated operational excellence and strong leadership within the company’s SSA importer network.
“Nors Namibia’s performance at this year’s conference exemplifies what is possible when our importers are united by a clear purpose and a relentless focus on customer success,” he said.
General Manager for SSA Markets at UD Trucks Southern Africa, Graham Kolm, said securing seven nominations and converting five into awards highlighted the strength of the Namibian operation and its customer-focused approach.
Senior Vice President for International Sales at UD Trucks, Fabrice Gorlier, said strong-performing partners such as Nors Namibia would play an important role in supporting the company’s future growth across Africa through operational excellence and collaboration.
The conference also focused on strengthening partnerships and knowledge sharing across African markets as UD Trucks Southern Africa advances its regional growth strategy.
