His Majesty Fillemon Shuumbwa Nangolo, the King of Ondonga accompanied by his royal delegation paid a visit to the Port of Walvis Bay on Friday.
Andrew Kanime, the Chief Executive Officer of Namport while welcoming the King and his delegation, emphasized the significance of this visit, highlighting the importance that the government of Namibia and its people place on the Namibian Ports Authority.
He said that the Namibian Ports Authority was honoured by the royal visit.
During the visit, the King and his delegation were provided with a comprehensive presentation on the operations and ongoing projects of Namport.
The King and his entourage were taken on an extensive tour of the state-of-the-art facilities at the Port of Walvis Bay to demonstrate Namport’s capabilities and efficiency.
During the presentation, Kanime told the King that Namport is committed to maintaining strong working relationships with its stakeholders and continually seeks opportunities to showcase what the entity has to offer for Namibia and beyond.
“The royal visit by His Majesty Fillemon Shuumbwa Nangoloserves as a testament to Namport’s dedication to sharing its development plans with all Namibians,” he said.
