To enable this vision, NamibRe has crafted a new strategic plan with new aligned values focused on creating a sustainable business for generations to come.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals initiative suggest that golf, can play a meaningful part in advancing SDG’s. The most direct and obvious goals influenced by golf are: Life on Land; Good Health; and Good Jobs and Economic Growth; and Partnerships for the Goals. There is potential to expand the influence across Gender Equality; Climate Action; Affordable and Clean Energy.
Golf can have positive impact on, almost all of the other Goals and representing important issues and it is for those reasons that we found it befitting to launch and host our stakeholders in this fashion.
The NamibRe golf day hosted players from across the continent. Local players from Namibia made up the bulk of the players, however East and Southern Africa was well represented with golfers from Zimbabwe, Kenya, Botswana and Nigeria participating at the event. Of the participants, the NamibRe MD’s Team was lead by avid golfer, international and Olympic sprinting legend Frank Fredericks.
A Mercedez-Benz to the value of 1.2million NAD tempted golfers to attempt a perfect shot on the Par 3 16th hole, which was sponsored by Maksure Risk Solution, represented by Mr Simbarashe Makwembere, Managing Director.
