Gondwana Collection Namibia has unveiled its state-of-the-art Namibia2Go car rental facility at Hosea Kutako International Airport (HKIA), setting a new benchmark in car rental services and redefining travel experiences in Namibia.

The grand opening of the facility on Wednesday is a new milestone in Gondwana’s journey to deliver not just a service, but an unparalleled travel experience for both local and international visitors.

Gys Joubert, the managing director of Gondwana Collection Namibia, said at the vent that the Namibia2Go facility is not just another car rental hub; it embodies Gondwana’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and Namibian hospitality.

“At the heart of this ambitious venture is a vision to provide a world-class service that rivals the best globally,” he said.

He also reflected on the company’s aspiration to push boundaries.

“At Gondwana, we often talk about and challenge each other on the size of our dreams. What you see here today is our dream, as Namibians, to offer the best car rental service in the world,” he said.

According to Joubert, the facility was designed with inspiration drawn from Namibia’s breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage.

He added that the new Namibia2Go facility offers a seamless blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal.

“Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by a striking red outline of Namibia at the entrance, symbolising the country’s vibrancy and spirit. The interiors are thoughtfully curated to reflect the diversity of Namibia’s regions, providing travellers with a sense of connection to the land they are about to explore,” he said

Joubert added that beyond aesthetics, the facility integrates Gondwana’s broader travel offerings, giving visitors easy access to information about Namibia’s iconic lodges and destinations.

“With a focus on convenience and personalised service, Namibia2Go aims to make every traveller’s journey memorable,” he said.

The facility offers 24-hour support, seamless integration with tour operators, and a dedicated team to ensure peace of mind from the moment a traveller collects their keys.

“This holistic approach is a demonstration of Gondwana’s commitment to providing not just a car rental service, but an experience that inspires and empowers travellers,” he said.

Marco Clarijs, the head of Namibia2Go, described the facility as a symbol of Gondwana’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of hospitality.

“This is the beginning of a bigger and even more beautiful journey. This facility represents our commitment to delivering an experience that inspires every traveller,” he said.

He added that the new Namibia2Go facility is not only a milestone for Gondwana but also for Namibia’s tourism industry.

Clarijs added that the facility brings out the country’s potential to compete on a global stage while staying true to its unique identity.

He expressed gratitude to all contributors who made this ambitious project a reality and invited the public to visit the facility to experience its exceptional offerings firsthand.
