The Namibia Football Association’s General Secretary, Charles Siyauya, has extended his heartfelt support to the Namibian national men’s FUTSAL team as they take on the best in Africa in their inaugural participation in the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The announcement milestone for Namibian futsal, as the team, affectionately known as the Brave Fives, prepared to make its debut appearance, where they lost 4 – 5 to Mauritania. Joining them are fellow newcomers Mauritania, while seasoned competitors such as Angola, Egypt, Ghana, Libya, Zambia, and hosts Morocco are set to return for the 8th Edition of the competition.
In his message to the team, Siyauya emphasized the significance of this moment, highlighting the pride and anticipation of the nation as they embark on this journey. He commended the team’s dedication, citing their thrilling victory in securing qualification as a source of inspiration for the entire country.
Siyauya urged the players and technical staff to recognize their role as ambassadors for Namibia and encouraged them to embrace the challenge. He expressed confidence in their abilities, emphasizing the nation’s unwavering support as they prepare to take the best at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
