Namdeb this week announced the appointment of Grace Luvindao as its new corporate affairs manager.
Namdeb said Luvindao brings over a decade of experience in communications, public relations and marketing. She holds a degree in media studies: public relations and advertising, from the University of Namibia, a master’s degree in media and international development from the University of East Anglia, and is currently undertaking a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Namibia Business School.
In her previous role as group communications and stakeholder engagement manager at Capricorn Group, she was responsible for developing and implementing Capricorn Group’s stakeholder engagement strategy and internal and external communication programs across the group. Her leadership extended to launching CSR initiatives, conducting internal communication audits, and strengthening stakeholder relations. She also worked at One Africa Television as a broadcast journalist, and at Adforce DDB and Space Dimensions advertising agencies. Luvindao is also the founder of the GO program, a mentorship initiative that empowers girls from vulnerable communities, further showcasing her passion for development and leadership.
Namdeb said Luvindao will play a pivotal role in supporting Pauline Thomas, head: corporate affairs and sustainable impact, to build Namdeb’s corporate affairs and stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment to company strategic objectives and its commitment to its purpose of mining for good contributing to ensuring a better future for generations to come.
