A 46-year-old man was found dead on a railway line at Omutsegwonime village in the King Nehale area in the early hours of Saturday.

Police said the incident occurred on 2 May 2026 at around 04h20. The deceased has been identified as Nangombe Martin Meduletu, a Namibian national.

Preliminary reports indicate that Meduletu is suspected to have been struck by a train. His body was found on the railway tracks.

Police confirmed that his next of kin have been informed. A suspect has been taken into custody and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
