Natanael ‘Natty’ Kakolol is set to challenge for his first WBO title on the 12th of June, where he will face unbeaten , Oleg Malinovskyi for the vacant WBO Featherweight Intercontinental title over 12 rounds.
Kakololo is the current African Boxing Union Featherweight champion who has enjoyed a great winning streak over his last fights, with impressive victories over tough opponents.
The Malinovskyi challenge will however be his biggest and his toughest to date and it will determine whether he has the pedigree to compete with the very best in this division, as the win will give him automatic entry into the top 15 WBO world ratings.
Born in Ukraine, Malinovskyi is an opponent of note, with 27 unbeaten fights.
Kakololo comes in less experienced with 13 fights, 1 loss and 1 draw ,but he has all the fire power in his arsenal to cause a major upset and win this fight away from home.
The fight will take place at the International Exhibition Hall, KY1V, Ukraine, and gives Kakololo an opportunity to make history for himself and hopefully pave his way to the top.
“This is a big test for Kakololo. He has impressed me in his last 8 fights and I promised to get him a WBO title fight which we have now delivered. It is always tough fighting away from home ,but he is a brave tighter and I am confident that he will win this fight for his country because those who went before him in boxing have build a great name for Namibian boxing” said his Promoter Kiriat Kamanya from MTC Salute Boxing.
Kakololo said , “this is a massive opportunity for me. Oleg is a great and strong opponent and he is unbeaten and it is now my mission to give him his first loss and claim a very strong title that will put me in the top 15 world ratings, which is important for my career. I look forward to the fight and with the support of the Namibian boxing nation, I have nothing to fear. I want to thank my team, my Promoter and our sponsor MTC for making this opportunity possible”.
Kakololo is sponsored by the MTC Salute Boxing Academy.
