Producer, song writer and artist Geoffrey “Jyda King” Amalenga announced his debut album due to be released on the 23rd October 2020 under the record labels Massive Music Records and D-Core Records. King’s passion for music started at an early age. The support from his mother encouraged him to write his own music at the age of 16 and by the age of 22, he was producing his own Beats. The artist released the Single Friends With Benefits Remix Feat Berthold & Chez in October 2009, and the mixtape EXTRAORDINARY in 2011.
Imagine has 20 tracks that Jyda King produced in four months while drawing inspiration from the likes of Li’l Wayne, Drake, Kanye West and Brenda Fassie. King says, “This album features various artists who bring different styles and genres to play. The songs are inspired by real life events that transpired in my life and how I overcame them to become the person I am today.”
And while each song varies in style, they are original pieces and they all come down to one universal theme. According to the performer, Imagine is a soul-filled, intimate collection of reminders that no matter how hard or unfair life gets, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. And any good thing that you can imagine and put your mind and heart to, the universe will respond gracefully.
