I feel for my brother Michael Saddam Amushelelo, honestly speaking or this time honestly writing, a person with intention to steal, or robby people will never open lawful several Bank accounts and still keep the money in those bank accounts.
People with fraudulently obtained money do not keep money in bank accounts, they use Sofas in their sitting room to hide the money or at their farms hidden deep in the ground.
Some will also prefer to travel with such money in suitcases etc everywhere they go.
Another issue or question of concern is that how did NAMRA determine that Amushelelo owe them about N$15 million as being reported if Amushelelo was doing illegal business?
A person into illegal business will never register to pay taxes. NAMRA too being a legal entity will also never do business with illegal businesses.
Claiming N$15 million against Amushelelo in taxes means he was into legitimate businesses.
This is more like an economic assassination or alternatively death penalty against Amushelelo while claiming we do not give death sentences from our Courts.
There is no correlation, Amushelelo never ran away with people’s money, from papers he seems to have acquired vehicles from interest earned.
An interest on a positive balance of N$80 million for example is quite some substantial amount.
I am failing to understand what happened to Amushelelo, the young man was simply smart to arrange blacks around him to create wealth.
Our commercial banks and pension funds use the same principle, collecting interest using people’s money to earn big and simply giving a small portion to members as interest earned.
Whatever something is fishy and I wish that Supreme Court Judges intervene in this matter and hear this case and Judgement given.
