Multichoice Namibia together with various organisations, on Wednesday launched the Partners Against Piracy in Windhoek.
The initiative aims to combat issues in the creative sector and content piracy.
Multichoice Namibia managing director Roger Gertze, said the company recognise the impact of such partnerships and their ability to connect diverse audiences on a global scale.
“Studies have shown that pirated streams and downloads disrupt every facet of the production value chain, directly threatening those who create and deliver content and Multichoice Namibia remains resolute in its determination to combat this threat,” he said.
The organisations in the partnership are Business Intellectual Property (Bipa), the Namibia Film Commission and the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB).
