“I was here in 2013 to witness the start of construction of the Husab Mine and was honoured to unveil the iconic Husab Mine Rock on the B2 road,” he said while commending Swakop Uranium for a stellar job in demonstrating resilience and enduring friendship.
Dr Nujoma reiterated that Swakop Uranium’s investment is a shining example of cooperation and the strong ties between Namibia and China that continue to encourage the country’s sustainable development.
While delivering his address, Ambassador Weiping said Swakop Uranium is a model for advanced Sino-Namibian cooperation.
“Over the past decade, Swakop Uranium has consistently grown into a prominent player in the mining industry, thanks to its exceptional management team, efficient operational model and outstanding production performance,” Weiping said.
