FNB Namibia and the City of Windhoek have entered into a workplace banking staffing solutions strategic partnership aimed at enhancing the financial wellbeing, empowerment, and long-term prosperity of City of Windhoek employees.

The partnership, formalised through a signing ceremony in Windhoek, will provide employees with access to a comprehensive suite of tailored financial solutions, alongside financial literacy programmes designed to equip them with the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions.

Bolle Hans, head of Public Sector Banking at FNB Namibia, said the agreement represents more than a formal partnership, but a shared commitment to the financial wellbeing of the employees who serve the City of Windhoek every day.

“The signing of this agreement is more than a formal occasion. It represents a shared commitment to the financial wellbeing, empowerment and long-term prosperity of the employees who serve the City of Windhoek and, ultimately, our communities every day,” said Hans.

He added that financial literacy and financial empowerment are closely connected to FNB Namibia’s purpose of helping people create and protect wealth.

Metusalem Archie Nikanor, strategic executive for Human Capital and Corporate Services at the City of Windhoek welcomed the partnership, noting that the tailored nature of the financial solutions was particularly valuable to City employees.

As part of the partnership, City of Windhoek employees will have access to a range of financial solutions tailored to their needs at different stages of their lives.

These include financial literacy programmes and education, preferential home loan rates to support employees in achieving home ownership, competitive personal loan offerings to provide responsible and sustainable access to credit, vehicle and asset finance solutions to assist employees in acquiring assets that can enhance their quality of life and productivity, access to FNB’s banking, savings, investment, insurance, fiduciary and digital banking solutions and debt consolidation solutions aimed at helping employees simplify and better manage multiple debt commitments.

The programmes are intended to help employees better navigate financial pressures, including rising living costs, multiple debt obligations, and increasingly complex financial decisions.

“Our objective is not simply to provide banking products, but to equip employees with the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions,” Hans said.

The partnership will also provide employees with access to debt consolidation solutions.

“We are excited about the journey ahead and look forward to working closely with the City of Windhoek to ensure that employees derive maximum value from this partnership,” Hans concluded.
