Windhoek, Namibia -The Khomas School Volleyball League lit up the courts this past weekend at the Martti Ahtisaari Primary School sports field. With a display of exceptional talent and sportsmanship across all age categories, the event was a testament to the dedication and passion of young athletes in the region.
In the under 17 girls category, CJ Brandt emerged as the undefeated champions, showcasing their dominance on the court. In the under 17 boys’ division A Shipena maintained their unbeaten streak, narrowly defeating Repies Remix in a thrilling tie-breaker match. The Rehoboth boys put up an impressive competition, making it a game to remember.
In other categories both Christ Love Christian School and Tobias Hainyeko displayed their prowess, each losing just one game in the league. Unfortunately, there was no under 13 girls’ league this time, as the girls were participating in the City of Windhoek Mayor’s under 13s tournament, proving that the future of volleyball in Khomas is bright for both genders.
“The Khomas School Volleyball League is more than just competition; it’s an opportunity for these young athletes to develop their skills, build character, and foster teamwork. Give them the opportunity to play.” As Ishitile Aloisius V, the CVA Development Director, wisely said.
