Neville Andre, the Governor of the Erongo Region stressed the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation as key drivers of economic growth and development while officially inaugurating the K2G NextGen showcase in Swakopmund
Andre said that the significance of events like the K2G NextGen showcase is inspiring and empowering the next generation of business leaders.
“It is events like these that inspire and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs to realize their full potential,” he said.
The K2G NextGen showcase is designed to recognize and honour young entrepreneurs who have demonstrated the courage to dream big, take calculated risks, and challenge the status quo.
The Governor acknowledged the critical role played by young entrepreneurs, describing them as the driving force behind economic growth and development, not only in achieving personal success but also in advancing society as a whole.
“Entrepreneurship has become more essential than ever as we tackle complex challenges and strive to create a better future in a rapidly evolving world. These young entrepreneurs, the ones we are celebrating today, embody the spirit of resilience, creativity, and determination that drives progress,” he said.
Andre pointed to the transformative potential of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which has opened up endless possibilities in fields such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, renewable energy, and biotechnology.
He stressed that young entrepreneurs must equip themselves with skills that go beyond traditional business acumen that would enhance their adaptability, collaboration, and willingness to embrace failure as opportunities for growth.
