Dordabis woman loses N$15 000 in police impersonation scam

Police are investigating a fraud case after a woman was allegedly conned out of N$15 000 by suspects impersonating police officers.

According to the crime report, the incident occurred on Friday, 21 August 2026, at about 16:25 at Marula Game Ranch near Windhoek.

The suspects allegedly contacted the victim using different phone numbers, claiming to be police officers from Dordabis who had a warrant of arrest against her.

They allegedly demanded N$15 000 to cancel the warrant, which the victim agreed to pay.

Police said the suspects remain unknown and investigations are continuing.
